18-2-2010 Motorola black Professional Series ATEX cancellation
Motorola has announced that the black Professional Series ATEX radios will be cancelled at the end of April 2010. However, the black ATEX radios are replaced by the blue ATEX radios.
When Motorola introduced the black Professional Series ATEX radios the intention was to replace them with "phase 2" radios that would not mandate use of a carry case. Those "phase 2" radios were coloured blue to make it easy to identify ATEX approved radios in the field. Motorola has continued to supply the black radios until the full range of blue radios and associated accessories are available and certified. The blue line of ATEX radio is now completed and available at Danimex.
